I began teaching privately in 1990 as way to earn extra money for college, but soon found that I was well suited for the task. Whether a student wanted to learn Rock or Blues, Jazz or Classical, I had the background to pass on the knowledge to my students. As a teacher I try to adapt to the needs of the students, whatever their goals may be.
In addition to teaching privately. I also taught the Beginning/Intermediate guitar classes at Santa Rosa Junior College for many years. I remain on staff at SRJC as an adjunct educator and teach the applied music course for Jazz Guitar.
For the past 5 years I have taught at Marin Country Day School’s after school enrichment program, FORTE.
From Jimi Hendrix, to Wes Montgomery, to Bach, I have always been fascinated by the wide variety of musical styles the guitar encompasses. I find great joy in passing on the this rich diversity of knowledge to my student
